At 8:00 we assembled in the Chapter Hall. It was not yet time for the official opening of the Chapter and the four sisters from Spain still had not arrived, but proceedings began with a few words from Bernadette thanking all those who had made the chapter possible:
the team who had prepared it
the translators
the secretariat
the moderator
the information team
and Margaret who presented Marie Carmen VILARDELL to the assembly as chapter moderator: she was accepted by the whole chapter.
Eithne and Puvana then shared a few practical points including how to use the translation equipment.
As we left the Chapter Hall the 4 Spanish sisters had just arrived. They had been held up en route because of bad weather.
Tomorrow we will meet at 7:30 for the celebration of the Eucharist.
